The City of Rifle is pleased to announce our first Rifle Citizens’ Academy – Local Government 101. If you have ever wondered what services the City provides and how things get done in local government, this Academy is for you! It’s the perfect opportunity to learn how a municipal government operates from fixing potholes to creating a multimillion-dollar budget. Each session will take place in a different department of the City. No tests or papers, just information presented in an interactive format with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get involved. Did we mention that it’s free?
This is an eight-week series that will meet every Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. beginning September 1. Space is limited so priority will be given to Rifle residents and business owners. Participants must be at least 18 years old. Request an application by emailing tklein@rifleco.org. Applications are due by Sunday, August 28.
