The City Manager of Rifle and founder of the City of Rifle Humanity Restoration Crew will be sharing his smiles and waves with a new audience. After leading the City through the pandemic and social upheavals, Scott Hahn will be transitioning out of his position as City Manager over the next several months.
“Rifle is an awesome community that I am proud to have served and represented. The citizens and City of Rifle staff are second to none.”
According to many, the impact of Hahn’s tenure will be lasting. From the Rifle Metro Pool to a multitude of other construction projects, his many accomplishments are visible just walking through town. Not to mention the “Smile, Greet and Wave” signs in every neighborhood and the nearly 100,000 people who watched his humorous videos. Scott’s efforts at increasing communication and creating an environment of friendliness and inclusivity can’t be understated. His willingness to look “silly” and his self-deprecating sense of humor made him increasingly popular with the citizens of Rifle. His weekly update videos reached thousands of viewers and made him highly recognizable when out on the street.
Hahn will be assisting Chief of Police Tommy Klein who will serve as Interim City Manager for the next several months.
