Insurance Rates
The City of Rifle offers its employees exceptional benefits, including:

    1. Eligibility for health, vision, and dental coverage is available on the first day of the month following your start date. Your choice between PPO or High Deductible Plan.
    2. The City pays 100% of Dental and Vision insurance premiums for all employees and their families
    3. The City pays a large % of Medical insurance premiums regardless of the plan:
      1. 100% for Employee Only coverage
      2. 85% for Employee + Spouse coverage
      3. 80% for Employee + Family coverage
    4. The City contributes up to $550 annually to HRA when PPO is selected
    5. The City contributes up to $3500 annually to HSA when HDHP is selected
    6. Flexible Spending Accounts, subject to plan terms
    7. City payment of 100% of the premium for a $30,000 life insurance policy for employee
      1. Optional supplemental group rate life insurance for employees and family
    8. 5% City contribution toward 401(a) Retirement Plan (5-year vesting schedule)
    9. Up to 3% City contribution toward 457(b) Retirement Plan, when employee elects to participate
    10. Nine (9) paid holidays annually
    11. Two weeks paid vacation annually, increasing with longevity
    12. 24 hours of flexible floating holiday hours annually
    13. Accrual of 96 hours of sick leave per year to a maximum carryover balance of 480 hours
