Rifle Metro Pool Closed for the Season

RIFLE, CO (August 1, 2023) –
   Due to extensive damage resulting from a suspected lightning strike, Rifle Metro Pool will be closed for the remainder of the season. According to Parks and Recreation Director Austin Rickstrew, repairs will not be made in time to finish out the season.
   The pool was originally scheduled to close on September 4th.
   Rifle Parks and Recreation staff will be processing prorated refunds for those who were enrolled in Session Four swimming lessons. Any individuals with pre-purchased tickets for one of the swim sessions will also receive a full refund. Anyone with questions or concerns may call the Recreation office at 970-665-6574.

Come visit Centennial Park at 300 West 5th Street

Centennial Park has been the recipient of three prestigious awards:
  • 2011 Starburst Award from Colorado Lottery
  • 2011 CPRA Columbine Award for Park Design
  • 2011 Downtown Colorado Inc. Award for Best Downtown Park
This park has been the venue for multiple new events in Rifle, including the very successful annual Centennial Concert Series, Fall Festival and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony as well as many other private entity events.

Centennial Park amenities include 2 picnic shelters, a children's water play area, an amphitheater, a decorative Rifle-history-themed central plaza and waysides, Rifle Creek Trail, and a large open turf are (The Great Bowl) and many areas to simply sit and enjoy the surroundings.
