Trash Collection Schedule map (PDF)

To schedule a special trash collection call 625-6231 by noon Tuesday prior to the collection day and leave a name, address, phone number and items you want to have collected. All items must to be placed at the curb by 7 am.

1st Wednesday of month: Oil, batteries and tires

2nd Wednesday: Appliances

3rd Wednesday: Furniture

4th Wednesday: Tree limbs, tied in 6 ft bundles no limbs bigger than 3 inches in diameter.

Tires: 4 per year
Batteries: 2 per year
Oil: 2 gal per month
Appliances: 3 per year
Furniture: 4 pieces per year

City of Rifle's recycling center is open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to Noon. The Recycling Center is located at our Operations & Maintenance Building on Hwy. 6 & 24, 1/2 mile east of Rifle. The bins are just inside the gates to the right.

We offer three bins for recycling:

1) Co-mingle-glass, plastic (#1 & 2), aluminum, steel and tin cans (No lids, caps, or tops on cans or bottles)

2) Newspaper including inserts

3) Cardboard (nothing with any type of coating)
