Cable 10

Bring a blank DVD+R (Sony / Maxell / Memorex) to Cable 10 office in City Hall and leave in drop-off basket with your name, phone number, and program requested. VHS tapes can be used as well, but DVDs are preferred.

Any non-profit entity can fax it to 625-3210 or drop it off at the Channel 10 office in City Hall.

In any form, e.g. a flyer. We will edit it to fit.

Free items, e.g. free kittens or puppies; items for sale; lost and found items; help wanted advertising; solicitations for funds; and regularly scheduled meetings of organizations.

Candidate Questions
|
|
Candidates must be registered to vote, must have been full-time residents of the city for at least one year prior to qualifying, and must not hold any other elective office.
|
|
|
A potential candidate may begin raising funds at any time after filing designation of a campaign treasurer and bank designation with the City Clerk. The campaign account must be separate from any personal accounts and used only for depositing campaign funds and making campaign expenditures.

All your trash must fit in the City designated trash can. The trash must be at the curb by 7am. If you did these things and your trash was still left behind, call (970) 625-6221 to reschedule your pick up.

Call the O & M department and report the location. You can also leave a message if there is no answer. If the STOP sign is in a high traffic area and there is no answer from O & M, please report it to the Rifle Police Department at 625-8095

The snow plow drivers start with the high priority areas. Please refer to the Snow Plow Priority Route Map located on the O & M home page

Contact the O & M department, we will respond and determine if the problem is in the City’s lines or the homeowners lines.

There could be minerals that have broken free in the pipeline. Let COLD water run for about five minutes. If it has not cleared up, call the O & M department.

The Operations and Maintenance Deepartment does alley maintenance twice a year, in March and September. We grade the alleys smooth, create proper drainage and add gravel as needed. If you need to report an alley for immediate maintenance, please report it to the O & M Department

If your water is off and you have not received a disconnection notice, we could be doing repairs to the line in your area. Call the O & M department to be sure.

Street sweeping is done every Friday Midnight to Noon from March to November. The city DOES NOT pick up leaves during the fall with our street sweeper. Leaves will be picked up during normal trash service. All leaves must be bagged, and bags must be placed in City containers.

It is the property owner’s responsibility to maintain trees and shrubs on your property or in the adjacent right of way to your property. There must be a clear space of 8 feet above any sidewalk and 13 feet above any street or alley per city code. (Section 17.18 and 17.03) Over hanging limbs can obstruct street signs and damage vehicles such as delivery trucks, school busses, street sweepers, refuse trucks or other vehicles. Pedestrians and children in the adjacent area can also be at a greater risk of injury. These risks can be reduced with periodic maintenance of trees, shrubs or other vegetation. Visibility triangles are also critical at intersections and entry points onto the road way.
